Why I stopped using project management software and went back to Notion

Asana, Trello, Monday—I tried them all. Here's why I came back to a simple Notion setup.

Last year, I was using Asana for tasks, Trello for ideas, and Google Sheets for tracking. I thought I needed specialized tools. But the overhead of switching between them was killing my momentum.

I moved everything into Notion. Not because it's the best at any one thing, but because it's good enough at everything. And having one place for tasks, notes, and projects means I don't lose context.

The secret is to not overthink it. I use a simple table for tasks, a toggle for project notes, and a calendar view for deadlines. That's all. No automations, no integrations. Just a single source of truth.

My productivity increased because I stopped managing tools and started doing work. If you're juggling multiple platforms, consider consolidating. The simplicity is worth more than any feature.
